    Default dti aircon bracket

my AUX belt was loose so i thought it was the tensioner pulley so brought a new one. went to fit it today and i was wrong, the bottom of the bracket thats bolted to the engine and aircon has snapped. tried to remove the bracket today but got to drop the engine to get the pully off, wondered if anybody knows if this one is the correct bracket http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-2...item51a6539fe0

im sure i read on here some time back vx charge around £300 for this bracket

Not the right one unfortunately, it's for the Vec B as it had a different belt layout setup on it.

Similar thing happened to mine a while back the actual bracket takes a lot of pressure not only from the aircon pump but from the belt and the tensioner its self...

Here's a pic of the bracket lifted from my own thread back in march 11 when mine went, well the bolt sheared ended up buying i new bracket from the dealers £45 quid it was then.

Yes the engine mounts need to be removed then the engine jacked up with a piece of wood on the sump to get clearance to remove the offending bracket, there are 3 nuts hidden away but you will find em...good luck.

No Chris because there isn't enough room to get the bracket and tensioner out.
