Thanks for offer. There is a garage at back of work going to ask today who give us big discount as work in emergency services. If they can provide Mintex pads and do job cheap will get it done.

Thanks all for help. Tried culmac and they had APEC pads recommended by antowens. Garage said they use them regularly on vectras without issues also. Gettin fitted tomorrow, so combination of new suspension arms and brake pads should have a smooth and quiet motor. Next problem pond in spare wheel.

Ye been reading up and found that to be most probable cause. It does also look bit perished. Stripped the boot out and ran hose pipe over it at weekend and not a drop of water leaked thru. Just waitin for next rain to hopefully confirm that is problem and not something else.
