    Unhappy confused now

    sorry to be a pain again but had misfire code read 0302 on 1.8 02 vectra c ,replaced plugs coil pack ,still runs lumpy no pull when attempting to move ,but now cant get any code reading at all now to see other codes if there is any ,does any one think it could be head gasket or am i overlooking something else thanks anyone p.s the orange engine symbol is on all time

    Hi alan66,
    I had the same problem last week with my V6. Same code, same symptons, etc,.. All indicating cylinder no.2 was playing up. I had the AA come out and double check it and he said the same. Turns out it was the middle out of the 3 front coil packs that had gone which I thought was the no.4 cylinder.

    Difficult to get continuity on the problem and not advise on things already tried if the threads are splattered everywhere.

    If the eml is active their must be a code to be read

    mis fire on a single cylinder means its fault with that cylinder ie fuel, spark, compression

    if its a new genuine coil pack an plugs.

    check your spark gap again and your getting a spark

    compression test if ok

    test injector signal and if needs be swap injector with another cylinder
