Default Quick one on tyres 215-225

Hi Guy's, Can I run 225/50/16 instead of 215/55/16, Don't say just get some 19s as I would if they were free,But there not & 1st Mot is due . The 225s are very cheap £75 fitted for 2 (not each)new Avon ZV's V rated with 92 loading.

Just a thought, the Vauxhall handbook doesn't list 225 but 215 for the 16" (unless I've missed it). Your insurance could be nil & void if your unlucky enough to have a smash and the insurance assessor combs through your car.
Also check the load index matches. On my Signum with 215/55/16 its 93.

True! The 225 listed is 17"
Check with your insurance company ... so you dont end up without one.
But if you only consider wheels/tyres is will be ok.
But as Scottex says ... theres more things to have in mind.
