Glow plugs?

Car and spanner light has come on the last couple of days,
it comes on when i start the car for about 5 - 10 mins then go's out .could it be glow plugs or is it a fault reader job .

Defo sounds like glow plugs mate.. Only from a cold engine?

When I start the car warm it goes out as soon as its started. Seems to start ok when it's cold

yeh - it will show the spanner on every start to tell you you have a stored fault.

these will still start without the glow plugs...

Im in Ashford Middlesex if you want the codes read and possible plugs replaced?

Will it cause any other probs if I just leave it for now. Just thinking if you was still interested in doing my cambelt we could just leave it till then. Hopefully this month

Hey - wont cause any issue mate..

Any yes - can do the glow plugs at the same time as the cam belt.. Approx £40 for a full set of 4 genuine VX plugs I seem to recall.

Try turning the key a few times before starting the motor, this will bring the plugs on for longer for now untill you get chance to replace them

Bought a contitech drive belt from ecp a couple of weeks ago as they were in the sale , for when the cambelt gets done.Do you think a vx one would be better, and forget this one, it was only a tenner so no big deal
