    Default Regal Rolling Road Results

For comparisum purposes I went down and ran my car on Regals rollers today with the smallest compressor I am currently using. The turbo did not reach operating pressure despite them using 5th gear, and the peek it did reach was at around 3000rpm instead of the 2250rpm it would hit it on a real road. Never the less the silly figure was 251bhp @ 4900rpm with compareable road wheel figures to what I expected at about 195whp.

No, I think the figure is silly, I have looked again at the graph with a ruler because the road wheel max is not printed and I think it is only 190bhp @ 4000rpm or less, which would give about 225bhp. The peak torque was only 357lbft aswell but without the water methanol running that does not bother me too much.

Hmmm, I have 206 BHP and 360 lb of torque so something is not quite right

You have a much smaller compressor with a standard turbine, it spools much sooner and with less load. Mine requires the water/methanol to spool fully before 2500rpm and the VNT duty is matched to the water methanol mass. On a standard turbine and just diesel I hit 380lbft at RS but this turbo has more potential because it is less restrictive. I wanted to run the water/methanol but my controller is with ERL and the ERL and Devils pressure switches just keep failing and trying to kill my engine.

No, I'll be busy with work again then as I have alot of traveling around the country to do.
Once I fit the new uprated injectors, I'll find a regional dyno meet to attend.
