Hear, hear. Coupled with the fact that 9 times out of 10 they have also got their Chav (fog) lights on and blue led's sticking out of their bonnet.

These kits are really easy for the police to detect. How many cars do you see with these lights fitted and no headlamp wash present. I must admit that I did notice on my aftermarket kit on the pre-facelift that the beam pattern was scattered everywhere, but on my new car with AFL the beam pattern doesn't rise higher than the waistline of other cars.

Could be a big purge on the aftermarket lights now.

    confused hids

I can see that on a old non projector headlamp that a retrofit hid kit wiould cause glare, but is it more focused when fitted to a veccy with projector headlamps as all C's have?

Could anyone with a hid kit post a pic showing the beam pattern?

Was thinking bout a hid kit- not sure now

The kits are more suited to modern headlights. I reckon that's why so many Vec c owners have got their cars through the mot with them fitted. In my case the the hid kit used to light the sky up as well as the road, many owners also experienced the black shadows through the beam pattern on the road.

I reckon the worst ones are when there fitted to much older cars that don't have projectors the beam is all over the place.
