Hello, sorry took so long to finally introduce myself I have a silver 54 2.2 direct signum, loving it apart from the small problems I'm having

my question is how long will this engine last for ? It's on 111k with full service history so looks like been looked after so apart from little Niggels is it worth putting money into and keeping it alive or is its life almost up

hello and welcome mate,theres no reason why your engine wont last another 100k if its getting properly maintained,mind you these engines do suffer from timing chain issues and direct injection pumps are knowm to fail too hth

111k is hardly run-in for these cars. Might be worth a timing chain change though? Sure it's the 2.2 directs that are prone to fail

thanks for the welcome its had a new fuel pump, but no history of a timing chain but it must of had one by now wouldn't you have thought, it's been serviced every 10k in service book with 4 owners

got it for a bargain price

any ideas/ good mods for these ? Very new to vauxhalls

some of your guys cars are well let's just say I'm jealous

Welcome mate yes chain tensioner fail and fuel pumo and reg thats abiut it

It's had the regulator and pump mate for sure and I have a spare pump

just not 100% on the chain but not noisy

Also this is not the place to plug your website. While I'm sure it's probably quite interesting, I don't think the majority of folk on here will understand it anyway being written in Hindi (I think!)
