    Default Rear lights

Has anyone else got the same problem as myself with rear lights on the vectra c? Iv noticed that the rear lights on my 08 sri have like a green moss in behind the lense at the bottom corners esp bad on the drivers side. Looks horrible and yoyr aye is drawn to it. Iv only owened the car for 5 months and its washed weekly. Is this a common problem and would this be coverd under warranty i mean would the light be replaced? Thanks

Yup I have it too, I wash the car a lot and its still there, I've tried blasting the pressure washer up at it but I think the light needs to come out to get cleaned out.

It is indeed a very common problem unfortunately. As for whether it would be covered under warranty I've no idea, sorry. I daresay you may have some luck depending on where you bought the car, but I don't think I'd hold my breath.

I've heard some folk on here saying the best way to get rid of it is to remove the whole light and stick it in the dishwasher on a warm cycle, then let it dry out completely before refitting it.

    Have a read at this:

Very much doubt if you would get a replacement under warranty. But yeah if you look at other vectras, you will see the same problem. It is just the last place that water gets to and very difficult to get to when you clean the car...
