I've got an iPhone 5 and I love it. Upgraded from a 4S, and have to say although I perhaps don't notice a huge day to day performance difference, I do love the bigger screen and and is also noticeably lighter. I was sceptical about whether the difference in weight would be noticeable, but trust me, it absolutely is.

Either way, if you are coming from a 3GS to either the 4S or 5, I'm sure you'll be well impressed with the Retina screen. In comparison, the screen of the 3G/3GS looks like a blurry mess!

i have a 4,brilliant piece of kit,im due to upgrade on the 17th,im with o2 they have told me if i go for the 4s (currently pay £32 800mins 1000txts) this will go up to £36-£38 as its 4g............if i go to a 5 it will be somewhere between £41-46.....................dont figure

if i was you mate if your not on what they say you have to be on 'iphone tarriff' go buy 1 off ebay either a 4 or 4s all you will need is to cut down the size of your sim card to fit (they use micro-sim) an iphone 5 uses a (nano-sim).......smaller again

wife is with orange,bog-standard contract but she is using (for over 1 year) an iphone 4

    The 4/4S had a 3.5" screen, the 5 is a 4" screen:

I think it's a worthwhile increase in screen real estate compared to the slightly bigger overall size increase. As I said, with the reduction in weight, it's actually still lighter in your pocket anyway.

Thanks im paying £28 a month just now but that was with a blackberry but ended up getting a iphone but was still on blackberry tariff so you think that will go up once i get the iphone on contract.

I was thinking about doing what you say my brother-in-law has a iphone 4 for sale for £150 i was thinking about buying that and going pay and go you thing thats a better option.

I will be due an Upgrade in February, I currenly have the Iphone 4 and will probably go for a Iphone 5, as I am so used to having one. I checked the trade in price on Mazuma and it was about £120, so I think £140 would be a good buy.

It's certainly worth considering buying outright, as there are far cheaper tariffs then available. I've basically done this for the last few years now.

Don't know if it's of interest to you, but 3 are doing a pretty good deal on SIM only for iPhones right now. I went over to them a few months back and so far so good. Have a look at their "Ultimate Internet 200" plan on this page, for £12.90 per month:

    http://www.store-3.co.uk/3-three-app...y-iphone4.html

200 mins, 5000 texts, and unlimited data. 1 month rolling contract as well which is handy.
