Default replacing standard springs with Sri springs

Hi I need to replace my springs as the ride is far too soft and the car bounces terribly, I have replaced all 4 shocks with Sachs standard shocks.

I'm looking at replacing all 4 springs with Sri springs which ate 15mm lower than the standard vectra ( pre face lift , design)

Just wondering what peoples opinions were on my plan ? Will this improve the ride ? And where should I source cheap parts.

    Thanks in advance

My signum 2.2 DTI design was the sri sport set up. Designs should have the same suspension set up as the sri.

Agree the Design has the SRi setup. The SRi setup has shorter shocks/shorter throw I think as well as lowered springs.
The Sachs standard items are rubbish, I fitted a new set along with the eibach springs on our signum and the ride was like a rowing boat in the high seas. Eneded up getting Bilstein B4 which improved matters a lot.

So basically you have fitted the wrong shocks as the Design should have SRi or equivalent

Earlier designs were standard springs. The later designs were a cross between SRI and Elite. The later Design effectively superceded the last of the SXI's. I would say halfway. The Signum Design as the Signum SRI is the Signum was a 'Luxury' and comfort model they never released sports models of the Signum.

It seems this may be the case , is the only difference between Sri and standard suspension the shocks and springs ? , so my shocks are too soft for the Sri springs causing a bouncy ride ?

I thought the shocks for the Sri and standard were the same, as the ride right was only 15mm different?

    Ps I have a 2004 vectra 1.9 cdti prefacelift.

Sorry Gaz, me thinks you could be wrong there mate. The Design Signum (mine was a 2003) had the sport suspension setup half leather sport seats (big bolsters) limo blacked windows and lots more as standard. I dropped mine a further 15 mm 30 in total with the pro kit. I cant comment on the Vec though.
