Signum dipbeam bulb query

Just a quick one on the bulb fitting , I have searched but not found an answer

'53 Signum preface lift
The bulb only fits in the holder one way am I correct

Does this then fit into the headlamp only one way , the reason I ask is I can only get it to twist in if the bulb is upside down(the filament is on top and not hanging) if i rotate it the 180° so its right I cannot get the fitting to twist and lock into place


I know these are a PITA as I also run an alfa GT and its a pig of a job on that

They are upside-down.
If you were in the engine bay looking directly at it the lug sits at about 5 'o'clock.
Hope this makes sence.
They are a pig to fit. I can do them with my eyes closed now.
If there not fitted correctly your headlights will be even worse at night!!!

Thats exactly where its sitting , just got a bit concerned as the bulb was upside down . Had another look today and everything is in the right place , so it must just go in the upside down way. I was always led to believe the filament had to hang
