    Default Rear Seat Bolster

Hi, I am having massive dramas removing my rear set bolsters. I have tugged and pulled them but to no avail, I have demolished one of the white plastic bits to remove one, but don't fancy doin this again. Is there any other way to do it ?

Hi. If you are talking about demolishing the white plastic retaining clips, don't worry too much, the part number is 24437789 from Vx £8.50 each plus VAT or less 25% if your car is getting on, and you are registered with Vauxhall Members / Masterfit Club ie £6.38 each plus VAT.

Anyway, back to removing the bolsters. When I helped out doing this there were 2 of us. My mate started the "pulling away" process so that the clips were exposed, then I clamped the clips (not agressively, more like a hard squeeze) with a mole wrench set to lock on the spring clip. Another final tug on the bolster, and they were out.

No broken clips after that using this method.

    Hope this helps m8

Removing the side bolsters can be a real pita. As the wire/frame is moulded into the bolster you run the risk of pulling the wire out of the moulding. What you need to do is feel where the wire is and then give it a few hard tugs (One hand on either side of the wire) It's one of those things that when you've done it once its a lot easier next time
