    can anyone please tell me which wire goes to the water temp dial

    Check the sender connection first, that's more than likely where you'll find the problem. What engine?

    theres not a prblem i am looking to connect an aftermarket dial up to the existing wire

    You don't want to be messing with that, not on these cars, its not like the old type wiring. The same sender also passes info to the ecu for fueling and choke.
