    Default Help needed please heater resistor/relays

    vectra c 1.8 2002 .ok hi all im a newbie and need help with the resistors/relays for number 4 on fan and 1,2,3....are there 2 seperate relays behind glove box and can anybody tell me a link where to buy please, basically my fan was working on number 4 only untill i cleaned the soaked scuttle tray out and now my heater blower not working at all, but i am getting a clicking noise when turn to number 4 !! any ideas as its now getting cold , just hope ive fixed the leak now from inside the car front passenger footwell, any help id much appreciate and hope to hear soon from brian.

    It will be either the resistor or the blue relay, had mine go as well only worked on setting 4 or when pressed the windshield button, with mine it was the relay, only found this out after changing resistor pack and fault was still there. Do you have the means to check relay eg put 12 volts across it and hear if it clicks.

    Resistor pack £10 from the bay
    Relay just under £8 from vx.

    hi and thankyou, no i dont have any tools to test but i dont mind buying both, can i get both from the bay and would you be able to help me with item number for the relay i need, also would i need 2 relays one for setting 1,2,3 and the other relay for number 4? also need resistor but think im ok ordering that part, hope to hear back soon, regards brian.

    Sorry don't have part number I threw away the plastic wrapper. I tryed the bay for the blue relay but the cars that are being stripped they only sell the whole fuse board and relays. If your fan works when you push the windshield button you should hear a relay click ( brown one I think ), then it could be the blue one ( grey/white one when brought of vx).

    got a blue relay here part number 24 459 504, dont know if thats the blue one you mean?

    If it the one from the glovebox relay board ( 5pins, 3 the same in one direction and 2 90 degrees to others ).
