    Default Smoothed rear diffuser

    Has anyone smoothed and painted there sri rear diffuser?
    Can any one photo shop it?

    They used to be smoothed inserts on eBay. They didn't look that bad but never seen on on a members car. The vxr inserts are only £40 and taking out the one you have can be a right pain, in my case I had to cut several tabs holding it in place.

    ill second that rushy mate ,that insert is mega PITA to get off ! btw op i take it you refer to filling in crosshatches of diffuser for smooth finish? alot of cataloy involved if thats the case or some sort of Skin accross it perhaps

    Yea thinking that my self bud, filling it would just crack as it flex's, a skin however would work.

    If you've got the skills NB you could make the skin, spray it or CF wrap it then mount it while the insert is still on the car.

    Yes i was thinking about useing a blacking plate and plastic wealding over and painting. I mite be getting a 2.2 twin exhaust so was thinking about twin exit panel like vxr stlye but not if you get my drift!!
