Hi all thought i would make a diary about the vectra as i go along with updates, pictures and hopefully some useful advise for you all and the story on how i got my hands on her ect!!...

So here we go ill start off with the story to buying her then onto the list of plans i have for her...

Earlier this year i had a accident ( non fault ) which resulted in this...



spent alot of time and money getting her to the standard she was at... was a 2001 1.7DTi LS totally standard when brought a quick flick below in her glory before the accident....



so anyway.. eventually i got paid out for the car as it was a write off sadly.. and began to look at vectra's various 2.2's and 1.9cdti's all of which had either rattly timing chains, egr faults or moon milage.. i than began to become very dissapointed and started looking at astra's again! (DoH)!!..

No mind so i ended up with this 2.0 DTi 2002 sxi astra -


again it was in standard form when purchased and soon was modded.. this is how she stands on my drive at this minute...


So i began to get the vectra bug yet again, ive wanted one for such along time .. i wanted some thing with class, style and well spec'd.. so began looking again and found a 2004 1.8 SRi with sat nav, full leather ect ect.. went and had a look / test drive and was snapped up at a instant!.. this is when i got her back home....

So i had a spare half of an hour at work yesterday which resulted in me getting the Vec into the unit and debadging the rear for that ( cleaner ) look...





Looks mean.. so decided to give her a quick hose down before home time from work and thought it would be rude to not get a few flicks....

So the plans -

* Timing belt kit
* Fan Belt
* Full service

then get it down the bodyshop to my dads to have ...

* Front & Rear bumpers repainted ( few chips ) and the bonnet also done ( few chips again )
* full detail and body work correction
* debadged front grill
* slightly lower (45ml maybe?)
* new wheels VXR's (maybe?)

and most likely much more the next main thing is to get my private reg off the astra on to my vectra as soon as my log book comes back for the Vec..
any comments / suggestions will be awesome cheers guys!

it was either a silver, white or black vectra for me luckily i came across this one and love it... im glad you like the mirrors although i carnt take credit for them as the previous owner must of installed them they have grown on me massively though.

very nice car mate ,id be looking to either color code or wrap the boot strip , like the astra too .

You should take a look at some chrome handles to mate

I would keep the boot strip as it is. Breaks the black up a bit.

Thanks mate i appreciate it... she should be mint once ive done with her, the astra is quite modded to be honest picture doesnt do her justice... soon as the plates off it and on the Vec shes going on flea bay.. too involved with plans for the Vec haha...
