What makes you think you need a master cylinder?

Thought clutch went yesterday tried putting more clutch fluid in it work then went to it this morning and clutch went straight to floor again so done a full flush today which again worked so going to check see if it still works tomorrowif not then going to sstartby cchanging the master cylinderwhich iI've been told is the cheaper option then the slave cylinder does this sound right or should we try something else first?

No doesn't seem to be losing any fluid was just black so just flushedit all out to new clear fluid. Do you mean the clutch pedal will go hard? And where is the pipe to clamp? My friend normally does everything as I don'tknow aa lot about cars

If its going black its a good sign of master cylinder seals going.

Yeah clutch pedal should go stiff.

the flexi pipe on top of the box going to the nipple.

Ok thanks for your help my mate thought it would more be the master cylinder. But at least can test the slave now as well. Also my mate wanted to know the answer to a question is the slave attached to the clutch so the clutch has to be replaced at the same time? Just a question just in case

It's concentric slave so its inside the bell housing.so will need to fit box.

its not physically fitted to clutch so in theory can change just slave. But with all work involved. It's false economy not to change clutch at same time
