    Default Inner CV Joints

Both inner CV joint boots are torn on my 2005 Vec 1.9cdti. Im fairly sure that at least one of these joints are worn out because there is a strong vibration on acceleration which is worse when cornering.

Has anybody else had their inner CV joint go? Is it an exensive repair?

Probably best to just change the whole shaft mate.

Probably looking around 2 hours in labour to swap both shafts out. A slightly longer if you want just joints replaced

I've used these people several times and always had good service - they sell complete shafts or joints separately http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-V...item27cd28d40c

Had an o/s inner cv joint split this year, Think the genuine gaitor kit was about £15, Took just over half an hour to fit.

I would only use genuine cv joints and gaitors on the vec-c There is a few posts on here with aftermarket joints wearing out quickly.

I was checking my springs today and noticed my offside inner cv boot is torn. Is this what I need?

Agreed, I've used them too, good fast service and for the price it seems like good stuff.
