Default Sensor telling me back door is open?! but its not!

    Hi folks

    Any ideas?

Back offside/drivers side is telling me its open, when it isnt, ive tried opening closing door, locking/unlocking with key and interior button, had a look around the door itself, cant see anything obvious.

Also, the interior lights are staying on, presumably because it thinks the door is open? Had to manually turn them off.
Where is the sensor and is it easy to get to, or an easy fix?

    TYIA

    Regards

Change the door lock for the door, as its not a seperate sensor.

As above needs new door lock.

as a temporary fix squirt some wd40 directly into mechanism and operate closed and open with screwdriver several times it may bring switch back into operation until after new year to give you chance to get a door lock.

Thanks.. Really?! Noooo ... thought it would be simpler than that? Squirt WD40 in to where exactly?

Into the lock mechanism (door open) but point it as of your try to squirt outside if that makes sense.

then use screwdriver to press lock over and press it gently back. Operate handle do it several times and it may do the trick.

The lock isn't as expensive as you may think. I got drivers door lock from car part connection 26 quid to the door.

Also had issues on a vectra with the wiring going through the door to the B post.
    Worth checking.
