    Default Vibration/Rattle noise near behind R/H headlamp/Grille

    60plt 130 cdti SRi

Ever since new I've had a vibration/rattle type noise at tickover from the R/H/F area behind R/H headlamp/Grille area.

Having done some 38k its getting louder, yet cannot trace it even with bonnet open holding/pushing various things IE Cambelt cover, Air intake items, headlamp, grille and other things in that area with no joy.

Recently had a service and mentioned about this noise and dealer without listening said "its the Turbo valve rattling and it needs a kit fitted" ???.

Today I had this Turbo valve kit fitted and guess what, the noise is still exactly the same.

My cousin who has the same model has no such noise or a few others I've listened to.

Has anyone experienced a similar noise.

    thanks

    OK.

Been back to dealer today and asked if we were getting crossed wires about this noise as they jumped to conclusions about the noise tobe the Turbo valve.

Today the supervisor came out to listen to noise I was referring to, and told its the air intake pipe behind behind bumper from air filter vibrating against behind bumper. Bumper tobe removed and some wrapping applied.

Another fault has come along since service, this maybe from the investigation into the noise or maybe a software update. At approx. 2000 rpm in 6th gear on motorway intermittently, it suddenly dies with loss of power for a second or two then back to normal over a 300 mile trip it happened 3 times.

Its not Turbo lag and its only since the service...

This also is tobe checked out again with the air intake pipe.

have you jusr recently had the software update
as im sure they have suspended the most recent update and are releasing a new one around the 18th january
the old update will most likely be causing your problems get back onto your dealer to confirm new update as some dealers know about it and others dont
