    Default CDTI Fuel filter issues

I've recently had the fuel filter changed on my 120 8v cdti.
It then began to weep, so a tightened it up alittle.
Still it weeps so it was tightened til it cracked!!!
FFS!!! £110 later a brand new genuine filter housing ready to fit was placed in along with the new blue fuel line bits...
Its now leak free but on cold start in the morning its taking longer to fire???

Is there something I've done wrong, is there seals in the housing or something?
Pressuming its getting air in which is causing the cold start issue which wasn't there before we touched the filter?

When you turn the key do you leave it a few seconds with the dash illuminated before trying to start it? It might be that the fuel is filtering back towards the tank, doubt it tho

try this... turn on the ignition and wait, listen to the noise coming from the fuel system, see if u can hear air being blown back into the fuel pump it will sounds like a bubbling noise, if it is then theres a slight airleak somewhere..

Will try above when her indoors is back with the car lol.

I bought a full new unit from Vauxhall and plugged it in.
Where the outlets are in the housing is there any rubber 'O' rings down them, wondering if theres one missing on the new one or maybe one off the old one thats now down the hole of the new one?

Its gotta be something to do with the pushfit connections imo, not touched powtb else.
This is what preventative maintainence does, was fine before, just the filter was rammy!!! lol

    Still having issues.
I've had fuel pipes back off the filter yesterday, both look to have the same seals down them.
Dunno if anyone has a pic of there fuel pipe fittings, and pics of the fuel filter inlet and outlet holes.

The wiring plus on the top and the bottom of the housing. What do these both do?
This was not a issue before I fitted this new housing. Could the electrical side of the housing be faulty???
