Since having a new DMF fitted in April I've had no issues with my 1.9cdti 150.... Until Christmas Eve when the engine began juddering on idle.
I'd driven 20 miles, parked up for an hour and a half, got back in and turned the engine on (clutch depressed as you do) but when i lifted off the clutch i could feel a judder. I gave the car a few revs which made the judder much worse!! At 1000 revs the car was visibly shaking but anything over this and the judder dies off again. I sat for 20mins to allow the engine to warm up (and wait for the wife to stop shopping) but even then it still did the same.
It hadn't done it since but seems as I was at my parents I thought I'd drop into the garage that did the DMF (a diesel specialist) and get them to check the car over. The can't find anything wrong and even running a diagnostics hasn't found anything so I left without an answer.
Today its happened twice & I think I've discovered a pattern. It seems to happen when the cars driven & engine's warm but then parked up and allowed to cool for 1-2 hours and started again.
I don't think it's a DMF/clutch issue as its worse when in neutral.
Any ideas what the issue could be or even a starting point?
