    Default One step forward two steps back help please !!

    Ok when I brought this car realised the radiator fan doesn't cut in so I checked the fuse and it had blown put a new fuse in eml went of so let the car ideal got to 100 got pretty worried then turned it of and back on a little later once had cooled down and eml back on and fuse popped again ideas anyone :s also the top and bottom radiator hose felt really hard like pressurised hope someone can help can't drive it till this is sorted

    - There could be a short in the fan circuit somewhere.

    - Or maybe the fan motor is faulty, causing the fuse to blow when the fan cuts in.

    An auto electrician should be able to diagnose it for you

    How do I go about looking for short circuit ?

    also will it have anything to me unplugging the climate controll ?

    I wanna try fix it myself today

    I may be wrong on this, but I'm sure the fan and climate control work together Someone will confirm this I hope

    Could also connect the fan motor direct to the battery for a moment (use a fused live), and see what happens (fuse blows or fan works)

    I was thinking the same about the climate controll but would it blow the fuse ?

    Can anyone confirm about climate controll

    You have a short if its blowing the fuse.

    The easiest way to test for short is you test lamp over fuse holder. ( bulb lit means active short)

    then systemically disconnect the circuit. Once light goes out you know its in that part of circuit.

    but as said any good garage/ auto spark find it relatively easy.

    it might just be a case of fan motor shorting
