Default Permanently mounting an external satnav

Howdo. Has anyone done a permanent mount for a satnav, like in this thread:

garmin do a powered mount for some of their Nuvi models and it doesn't look too hard, so I'm thinking of doing something similar, but I'd also like to run an external antenna too.

    Anyone done anything like this?

I've seen them mounted where the gid/cid usually are but not like the BMW pictures as that looks like a standard BMW phone holder bracket as it matches the dash very well.

Aye. That's what I want. I think I'm going to do one myself as a project, then I could do a how-to for anyone else who wants it.

Apart from a 'sat-nav' it's a tidy way to install an 'add-on' so many of the gadgets are plug in type.
Thanks for the link, I don't like wires all over the place ................ :Coffee:
