Default avon zz5 or neuton nt5000

Looking at getting some new tyres for my Vectra next month, been looking at reviews and Avon zz5 and neuton n5000 seem to have the best reviews for less than 200 pound. Tire size is 235/35/19s, any one have any experience or good/bad experience off any of these. Bought some cheap budget triangle tires last time and they are awful in the wet.

I have direct experience of both! Both are excellent and I really love the Neuton NT5000 however have just swapped to Nexen N8000 and they best both of them on my Vectra Chassis to be honest and are around the £65 a corner mark. Read www.tyrereviews.co.uk on them all before buying

Mine might be a bit more expensive as my tires are 235 35 19, the nexen n8000 seem to have great reviews, I do a lot off miles, around 2000 a Month minimum so what is wear like on them

I do similar mileage (about 30,000 a year) Neuton on my Saab 9-5 Aero auto lasted 22,000 where the best of the premium brands Continental and Michelin etc lasted 12,000 miles, wet driving was good not exceptional but 100% safe.

The Avons on the Vectra lasted 12,000 front and still on the rear right now. The Nexen have been on since the start of December and done 1200 miles only thanks to the holidays but in puddles of standing water, snow, slush, rain, dry tarmac and ungritted -5.5C roads amazed me how good they were, I was expecting them to fail but nope!

Yes in 19" will be expensive but the all of them will be about the same I reckon, so you pays your money,,, I suppose the brand snob in me would say Avon?

By the sounds off it could be a case of tossing a coin lol. I suppose it will come down to which ones have better wear. I've never heard of the neuton tire before today which is the only thing that puts me off

Neuton are made by Yokohama Neo's are the only UK importer but the brand is worldwide and very popular in Australia ? NZ and also with the drift fraternity.

Nexen are imported by Stapletons are one of the best known of Korean tyre makers and are priced as budget but quality is a step above similar tyres.
