Default Parkpilot. will the wiring be in??

I currently have the option of 2 park pilot systems. One is cheaper than the other but comes with no wiring harness. Will the cables that would go from the module to the sensors be tucked away somewhere in the car near where they are supposed to be in a similar way to the washer level sensor is (when not factory fit)?

You have to get them made up, do you have the wires behind the dash button?

Lol, just been reading one of your threads mate. Here's the score:

I'm going to strip a preface half can fully loaded vectra in exchange for a bit of a discount on the bits i want. I can do without pulling out the carpet and sills though if i can help it. What i'd hope for would be that the main wiring loom is already in my car and i can just fit the Module, sensors, fuse, beeper???? and button (the connector is behind the blank and when i fitted a TC button it lit up so i presume it's all cabled up). If there's no chance that this might happen i can get it all from the donor car... if i have to.

the rear looms plugs into a connector in the boot near the tyre well.. The other end of that comes out by the rec where the park pilot module plugs into it.. The harness to feed the fronts I had made, they were fed from the rec all the way down to the front where it connects to the bumper harness. I think had bought my front bumper harness seperately from somewhere. It was a few years back now so I am a little vague one what we actually did. I had Andy do mine for me.

Well I think I'll just rip the lot out. From the more expensive set. Was yours the aftermarket retrofit or was it from a donor vehicle?

I had the vx aftermarket rears fitted when I bought the car. I swapped the module for the factory fit one and had the front sensors added and tech2'd in.

Cheers for the info. So what happened with the sounder? I'm getting the impression from other threads that the aftermarket PP has a sounder in the roof lining but the factory fit sounds from the CIM? Sorry for all the questions. I'm just trying to make sure i get all the bits i need.

I'm currently fitting park pilot to my 07 vec, the only wiring I had in place was the behind the dash button. I have needed to fit the module which clips to the REC, wiring from the module to the REC, wiring from the module to the rear bumper, wiring from the module to the plug on the bulk head (X26) and then wiring from the bulk head plug to the front bumper.

My park pilot came from a signum and I didnt have all off the wires to the bulk head plug but AndyL helped with that. The speaker plugs in to the roof ribbon cable but check you have the full roof loom, if the extra wires are there you should find them above the head of the rear left passenger which should be rolled up, the speaker sticks in a slight recess of the lining just to the left of the aerial.

I just need to fit the mounting brackets to the bumpers and tidy up some wiring along with a bit of tech 2.... It would seem the holes in the bumper need to be 23mm which I dont have any thing to cut them to that size at the moment....

the aftermarket pp kit has an aftermarket buzzer with about 2ft of wiring attached to it and this can be mounted in
the boot area werever you like it to be.

the rear pp sensor buzzer is mounted on the rear of the headlining and the front pp sensor buzzer sound comes from the cim

Excellent! It was the loom from the loom from the module to the bulkhead that i hoped i might be in already. Oh well, looks like i've got a full day at the scrappers!
