Default Should I take a chance on some leather interior??

Been to look at some leather seats in a 38k 2008 elite that had been written off due to water damage. The seats have been in there awhile since the water damage as car smells musky and mould here and there.
Guy is looking for £200, which includes the seats, door cards, center arm rest and front heated seat switches. Ann thoughts or experience from someone has bought similar.??

if you do decide to buy it take the looms which go with the seats too. Unless your car already has them?

Hi, this seems like a high price to pay for seats which may be water damaged and at your risk fella. They may be fine, but IMO are not priced low enough to warrant the risk in purchase. I suppose it all depends on whether the car was submerged fully including seats and door cards, or whether the water just entered the car and soaked the carpet.

But as Steve says, if you do go for them, make sure you get the electrics (loom and switches), if only to resell

I don't think you will be able to tell unless you take ya car to bits when coming to fit the seats. I would insist that all the looms / switches come with the seats as part of the price. Even if you find you have them you will be able to sell them on without a problem. Its the main body loom that's usually missing I'm not sure of the correct name. I would insist all electrical connections were part of the sale.
You will save yourself a lot of pain by doing this when fitting.
