Default Signum 3.0 N/S rear hub fitting

I'm just thinking of ordering myself a Rear hub asa a christmas present as it's shot and coming up to MOT time. I'm not sure about fitting it though. It's been suggested to me that they need to be 'pressed' in. I popped to my local garage to ask about fitting. They said they'd never done one before (surprise surprise) but estimated a cost of about £50.

My question is, are they pressed in? can i do it myself or is it worth letting them do it for £50?

if they are same as a vec b they are a whole hub assembly. remove all the brake components then just 4 bolts holding the hub on. A couple of bolts were hard to get too when i done my veccy b but easy enuf to do by urself.

Hence why I advise asking several local garages to quote for the job and how many they have done previously
Personally, I only use a local garage if there is a considerable saving, sometimes a dealership can be about the same cost

once the brakes are out of the way, just 4 nuts on the back of it.. and then you can remove the whole hub
Plasma's Tech2 services are now partially open and able to provide services
