Default Climate control panel removal help

Hi, how on earth do I get this out ?

    http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/n.../DSC_00032.jpg

I've prodded and pulled but it moves not ! Reason is I want to give the central switch a bit of a look at as often I cannot switch from eco to CC mode.

    Ta, and Merry Xmas all.

i tend to remove the ashtray and its trim plus fag lighter, i then pull out the storage tray below the ECC panel this then enables me to get a good grip on it to pull it out

OK thanks - so it is just a "pull" there are no fancy clips or catches... I'll give it a go ! Been driving me nuts on and off for years - I'll make it an Xmas break job if the rain ever lets up.

    Cheers

DTi - oh - think that's a tip - I was thinking that it was likely to be crud needing a dose of switch cleaner - Will fire up the iron as well.

Wrap some strong masking tape around the shaft of a screwdriver so it doesn't mark the fascia to the sides of the unit, leave the tip clear and ease in gently to avoid scratching it.
