Default Scuttle tray! Doh! Heating packed up.

Hi all. During the recent downpours a lot of water has come into the passenger footwell. I have checked the scuttle tray and it was blocked. I have cleared this and now the heating does not work. I have searched the forums and found some helpful posts.

I have not checked if the motor is seized but I will do this today. What I want to know is, is the resistor pack the same for my car as I have the 7 speed climate and not the 4 speed manual. If it is great if not I'm not sure what part to get. Is it an easy fix. Many thanks.

Forgot to mention when I try the climate there is a ticking noise coming from behind the dash somewhere.

More digging and its a totally different resistor. Non climate around a tenner. Climate looking at £130 ish. I heard you can buy a cheap thermal fuse for the standard one and adapt it. Can this be done to the climate resistor? Font fancy spending £130 this close to Xmas :-(

its more on a control module on your one rather than a resistor... your ones normally burn out to a crispy pcb...

the clicking noise you can hear (probably when u first open the car doors in the morning as well) is one of the recirc motors with a broken tooth trying to turn.

Do you think I would be inline for a motor and resistor then. More money I presume.

Can this part be bought for the climate 7 speed version as the resistor is different from the manual heating. The climate version is in a silver casing and it also costs over 10 times the amount of the standard manual one!
