Lightbulb Can I improve the heater control lighting ?

My heater controls are a bit dim both the background and the little white dash on each of the knobs. Can't aways tell what the setting is, easily. This is a year 2007 hatchback. My wife's Astra (2009) is lit up much more brightly.

Is there a mod or fix ?

Yeah already checked that - they are on max. On closer inspection, it seems it's the lighting of the knobs that's the problem. Looks like the light shines through the back of the knobs and there is dirt or degredation in the plastic ? Any solutions ?

Start by giving the fronts of all the plastics/switches a gentle clean with a damp cloth first and then a rub with a dry towel. That should get rid of 'finger muck' and suchlike.

If that doesn't do the trick you may be looking at replacement of the light sources themselves.... an idea opportunity to think about a change to SMDs (LED) as many others have done.
