Strange Ball Joint Issue

Summed up, steering judder at 60mph +, pulls left when accelerating and right when slowing.
Had the car in the air today and the boot on the front o/s control arm ball joint is loose, eg the top clip appears to be gone. I can't find any play in it tho, however I also can't find play in anything else and nothing else appears faulty. There is also a knock when going over bumps, all the other usual suspects have been checked and are in good order. When the wheels are running whilst lifted off the ground, the judder is also kicking in at the same speed. Given that, my mate thinks it may be a driveshaft causing it. Has anyone else came across this where the ball joint is failing but no obvious play?
I need to replace the arm anyway as I have my MOT on monday coming but any advice would be helpful

Sorted, new wishbone and all is well. May be something for people to keep in mind. Mine had no play whatsoever, but clearly the forces at 60mph+ are more than I could replicate

Yup, Took it out not long ago and the wheel is once again sitting straight, no judder and no pulling. I can now relax a little bit, well until the MOT on monday!
