Yes you will have "issues", you will not be able to re-program a used key fob from another vehicle to your car

LATE EDIT - Sorry, I should have added that you won't have any luck re-programming it UNLESS, you get it "virginised" first. The programmable chip needs to be replaced so that any electronics that you attach to re-program it with, will then see it as a brand new fob. I can recommend someone who can do this if you want, but it will add around £15 (ish) to your costs.

    Cheers

Apparently it can be done with both pass codes and Tech 2 but the genuine vx fobs are fixed together very well and mine broke when I was trying to change the case. It's much simpler although more expensive unless you have both pass codes and tech 2 to buy a genuine one.

Key fob virginising - I can give you a contact, but again, as said, around £15 (ish)

John see if you can get it apart first as I said mine was damaged as it was put together by vx by a strong bonding agent and you will need to separate it to get a new blade in I have a spare blank blade flip type if you need one.

I will PM you the contact John. Anyway, irrespective of the route you take, you are still going to need to get a blade cut and I doubt it will cost you less than £9.95 either way to simply "cut only", or "supplied and cut". In any event, you can't go far wrong by having a conversation with the guy, I mean he might even be prepared fit a freshly cut blade to it while he has it apart.

Unfortunately for us, all of these flip keys look the same from the outside, but there are a few differences between them in respect of the internal electrics. From experience, I got an "identical" key virginised, but it was a different circuit board to the one designed for my Vectra, and as such, on reprogramming to my car, I could only get the immobiliser part to function and start the car, I wasn't able to get the fob remote functions to pair up with my car. Oh well, a lesson learned from my point of view at least.

Anyway, to avoid any rule breaking or unintentional advertising, I'll pm you the contact details now.
