    Default Z20NET Chain.

    Hello all.

    Just a quick question.
Car would`nt start the other day and called out RAC.
He promptly fixed the loose connection to my fuel pump, but said after it started that my timing chain needed looking at ASAP.
How much is it to do and is it going to be the chain or the guides/tensioner?

Thanks and have a good Christmas and new year!

Vehicle : Vectra and a Signum

Trim : top of the line in both

Its roughly £400 for the two chain kits and a waterpump plus aux belt. Labour will probably be about two or three hours. As paul says its going to be the balancer chain/guide as that turns the waterpump but you need to take the timing chain off to do it.
