Thanks for all the replies. I'm guessing now its noth the power steering at all now. It didn't do it last night or this morning. Both nights have been very rainy and I'm guessing, sort of lubricating whatever is creaking.
So now you are reporting a creaking noise
When does this appear?
Mine was doing this a few seconds after starting the engine up, clearly be heard on idling
This was the auxiliary belt tensioner pulley, the bearing had failed
Equally, during heavy rain it could also be heard
It is located almost right beside the Power Steering Pump and so the noise sounds like it is coming from there
topped mine up by loosening drivers side wheel arch liner to see level then with lenght of tubing fed down from top.Bobs your uncle
touch wood mine just needeed topping up,did it June and level still the same...yours might be saqme
It's a similar noise to the ARB creaking/ groaning but it does it when steering from left to right, not all the time. It only seems to do it when everything is warm. For example, I do a 50 mile drive from work. 15 on country roads, 32 on the motorway and then 3 through town. It only starts when i come off the motorway, or just doesn't rear its ugly head with the small steering adjustments. I've noticed it does it when the roads are drying out . I drove 100 miles in damp conditions and the steering was creaking. I drove 100 miles in torrential rain the day after, No creaking. Same the day after. Then today, damp conditions, and the creaking was back. Might just attack everything with the WD40 bit by bit. Could it be related to the strut tops being tightened?
Had my old bus in at Vauxhall today for a service and they reported the power steering resorvoiur needed topping up. By the sounds of this thread I'm glad they did it and I didn't have to find it. Lol

I need to check mine when its not wazzing it down but from what I can see its covered in carp so it'll need to be stripped out I think. Got an 80k service to do this week so I'll investigate then.
think mines leaking theres green fluid by the air box,new pipes can be found on ebay so no drama
