Default Take off your filler neck 3.2s!

Went on a long round trip up north on the weekend and when I got back I noticed a bit of oil weep at base of the front rocker cover. Ah, gaskets I thought.

While I was there I decided to whip off the filler neck to get shut of that mayo that gathers there and stick the oil cap straight on the rocker cover.

Anyway, been on a couple of decent runs since and the oil weep hasn't come back.

Just thought I'd pass this on.

    Cheers

Tell me about it. I can see why they did it, to aid pouring, but if I hadn't read about it first I'd have thought every signum I went to see had head gasket failure.

As above. It comes off the same way as the oil filler cap itself, only needs a bit more effort. Paul
