    Default Water leak in boot

    Hi,
just bought a vectra 2004. The boot lining was soaking and there was a large puddle in the spare wheel well. After a few days of drying everything out and mopping up the water ive noticed that the water appears to be coming from inside the two access flaps on the side of the boot.

If you put your hand up inside the flaps and up inside the water goes all the way up to the near the rear small windows, its wet all the way down on both side from there down to the bottom.

does anybody have any ideas of where to start?

    thanks
    dave

Iirc it could be aerial rubber seal, or rear small window seal, or possibly from rear light seal... usual culprit is aerial seal but sounds like the seals on the small windows?

It was the aerial rubber on mine that was causing the water in the boot on mine. Replaced and leak free now.

If it is coming from that high up, then the aerial seal gets my vote. Both my Vectras have leaked for the same reason.

Hi, thanks for the advice. I will have a closer look at the things you've mentioned. If its leaking from the ariel would it make the roof line wet? Just mine is bone dry.

Both my Vectras have had wet boots at some point due to the aerial seal being perished, and neither had a wet roof-lining. I think the water ingress is just enough to travel across the lower surface of the roof and isn't enough to actually cause a drip.
