Talking Insignia vx line steering wheel

Hey guys. Just a quick query. I am debating changing the wheel on my facelift SRI. Will the wheel of the vx line insignias fit and work with both the airbag and the steering wheel controls as the buttons are different to the vectra with the cruise been on the wheel rather than the stalk.

Otherwise I was thinking of putting a corsa vxr wheel on with the flat bottom. The buttons are the same as on my vectra so I'm guessing would plug straight in. Would it fit on the car tho?

    Thanks in advance

    James

I don't think the Insignia uses canbus for a start so I think at the very least the steering wheel controls are out of the question.

I wouldn't know but I've had Vauxhall technician tell me there are umpteen setup's in the Insignia, and he never mentioned canbus. I said I don't think, that means not a certainty, but you come across as knowing more so maybe you could fill in the blanks.

What about the corsa vxr wheel? That has the same switches as the vectra. Is the shaft the same coming out the dash?
