Default CDTi Tourer MPG?

Starting to look at new cars, I prefer the look of the sig tourer over the hatch and saloon. What real world MPG are you guys getting and is it anywhere near book figures? I do about 20k per year now so reality of having to get a diesel is kicking in..
Cheers folks :-)

if you can stretch to it , go for the BiTurbo , I see lots of 160bhp drivers getting late 30's , I'm not getting less that 45mpg at the moment my average is 48mpg and have managed 56mpg on run,

Cheers guys.
Mark I'm not sure I want the biturbo model yet, and for the price difference it's prob not worth it for the likes of me.
Penfold, that sounds pretty good tbh and I would settle for that, it's still 15mpg more than my turbo gets at the moment...

hello steven i have a 160 insignia and its returning 49.3mpg over the last 15k miles so not too bad but i would look at getting the eco start stop version as this on paper returnes 66mpg but i think this is a bit optimistic i would say closer to 60mpg would be a better figure

Depends if you're buying brand new or not - the ecoflex version costs an extra grand from new, but apparently there's no difference on the used market. I just hate the word 'eco'...

Thanks guys..

I will not be buying new, no point due to depreciation. That mpg you guys are getting is not too bad, expected it to be worse due to the weight of the car..
I am going to have a look at a few on Thursday to see if I actually like them enough to spend the cash..so time wil tell!!

A couple of random thoughts mate - if bought through Network Q at less than a year old, second owner and under 30K miles, I believe the 100K lifetime warranty remains intact. May want to check that out though. Also, if buying nearly new on finance, compare final repayable amount at the end with the cost brand new using VX 0% finance - ignoring depreciation and assuming you aren't putting down a massive deposit it could work out the same if you go nearly new, but give you the added bonus of ordering exactly what you want.

A lot of people won't touch brand new regardless, but everyone's different...
