    Default CDTi remapping

Just very curious about this one on the Insignia, I understand the engines are identical between 130 and 160, so, has anyone remapped a 130? (or a 160 for that matter)

    Thanks guys.

I understand a quite a few have and are getting impressive results especially in MPG, but beware older models like my 09 plate have to be done with the ECU removed from the car as it is "protected" so go to someone like Celtic Tuning or there is one in Kilmarnock who does the same and they both give gains of over 200BHP ! enjoy and a Merry Xmas !!!

One thing to watch is the 130 bhp have the m32 gearbox, so any increase in power may knacker gearbox. The 160bhp uses the f40 gearbox, i was thinking of getting hold of one and maybe swapping them at a later date, but unsure if that's possible.

    Irmscher Insignia CDTI 130

MOD'S...Irmscher front spoiler, Irmscher mats, Irmscher door pins, Irmscher rear spoiler, Irmscher grille, Irmscher skirt & exhausts,Irmscher Roof spoiler MOD'S TO COME..Side skirts,Wheels

LMAO, I know what your thinking

I think I will stick to the CDTI 160 as the gearbox issue and slight price difference on the nearly new market makes the 160 a better bet long term I think. Now all I need is Santa to assist me with my wife to let me get one

    Quote from Celtic Tuning:

The 2.0 CDTi engine in the Vauxhall Insignia and Astra is a superb engine for tuning. Sourced from Fiat Power train Technologies, it is a highly modified variant of the early 1.9 CDTi engine but with a 1mm wider bore. Released in 2008 in the Insignia, the 2.0 CDTi engine utilises the current generation Bosch EDC17 ECU which is capable via OBD.

In 2009, Vauxhall had tuner protection installed making it impossible via the OBD port and still impossible for most due to error maps. We are able to tune all year’s right up to current day with absolutely no issues and with 226bhp and 352lbft, these are quicker than ever before!!!

Vauxhall have been installing FPT engines since 2004 when they first came out in the Astra H and Vectra C. We have been working on these engines since 2003 and are sure we have unrivalled experience in making these engines truly powerful whilst maintaining optimum reliability. We can provide for all levels of tuning on these engines...

Well what do you think ?
