vectra c suspension problems .

Hi all i have a 53 plate 2.2dti elegance and have been more than happy with it but am looking at buying a 58/09 1.9cdti design,sri or elite and have had springs break in the past , does anyone know if GM have rectified this problem so later model vectras are spring break free! Correct me if i'm wrong but i think sri versions have stronger suspension many thanks people.

they break all the time on all models but its by no means a vauxhall issue its an all brands issue

you can buy a set of after market springs that are way stronger for little money I have low sport 30mm springs

the ride is improved theres no nose floating about heavy breaking or acceleration

Thanks for your help John surprised GM haven't fitted stronger springs on later models. Also does lowering the suspension by 30mm
count as a modification to change insurance?

its not a GM only issue all makes are having the same problems its the roads

as for insurance being a change in car no doubt you could say you had no idea I doubt it would make much of a difference anyway
