    Default Can i install another tinted mirror???

    Hello everybody
    My vectra c model 2008 and i have one tinted side mirror as u know its only for the driver side but i bough one for the other side tinted also belong to opel in the UK it have the socket in the car but it need sure to be installed but i donno if it can be installed by the tec 2 or what exactly cause its not getting darker at night so anyone try this??? or any way to make it work as the other side???

    Engine : 2.0 cdti 160

    it will work but you will need the wiring fitting from the mirror to rec,the wiring will have to be spliced into
    the drivers side wiring at the rec for it to work at the same time as the drivers auto dim mirror

    from where i can splice the wires ?? i mean from where the meddle mirror send the signal so i can do this and how the wire will be installed???

    you need to dig out and find the 2 wires that go to the rec in the wiring loom were they go to the plugs
    and then splice into the wires.

    Are there any practical reasons for having a dimmable nearside door mirror?

    I've yet to be dazzled by it from a car driver behind me in the 8 years I've had my Vectra.

    I drive always at night in highways and the truck drivers always use the high light in the back and its reflect so hard in the side mirrors but thank to the vectra c the middle one and the driver side is auto dim but it will be the best to have the other side to

    Are you sure you have the passenger mirror set correctly?

    I too drive at night (just like a lot of people do) and I have yet to have any vehicle behind dazzle me (as previously mentioned).

    Dave I think what hes saying is trucks use High Beam all the time in Egypt at night.

    Exactly thats what am saying and most of them use forbidden lamps so if u have normal mirror u will never see the road at night cause all your car mirrors will be reflecting there beam light so hard to your eyes.... but now vectra came orignal the meddle and the driver side is dimmable but the passenger side is normal on so i want to make it all dimmable by install the one i bough from the UK thats it

    Ah, in which case I apologise for not realising.

    Do the rear fog mod so both work, then switch them on when you've got a moron lorry driver behind you so as to dazzl him back.

    Even better, wire up the reverse lamps for good measure too
