Default Condensation In Headlights Since HID Fit

I drove a couple of hours the other day in heavy rain with my headlights on and have now got loads of condensation in them.

They''ve been fine for the last few weeks since I fitted HID's.

I'm guessing that water has got in where the grommet is and that I'm just going to have to silicon it all up?

Ive had this issue with mine before, preface though. I used Vaseline to seal the rubber grommet and the rubber seal around the origional light fixing, that cured it for me. Been water tight ever since.

So to get rid of it I need to leave the covers off and then reveal somehow when it's gone?

I had to take my headlights off, there was a load of water in them. I then used the wife hair dryer out to dry them out properly, then refitted and sealed with Vaseline.

The condensation seems to be caused as the HID bulbs are running far cooler than the H7 filament bulbs so they don't get as warm, and don't evaporate the moisture as well.

Drive round with your main beams on???

The heat from the bulbs will dry the headlights out.
