    Default Facelift Angel Eyes & LED Issues Questions...

    Right, I've decided I will be getting some Angel Eyes for my facelift after Christmas, but fancy getting some LED's in them while I fit them. I do have a few questions regarding the fitting of these;

    • I believe the motors from my existing lights need to be transferred over, is this a difficult job?
    • What LED's do I need for the Halo's (one's that won't bring a dash error), and how many?
    • Are these easy to fit, presume they are with the lights out?
    • What indicator bulbs are they, are they the same, i.e. offset pin ones?

    I know (with the right LED's) I won't get a dash error, but what exactly happens with the strobing? I assume when they are on, there is no issues, but when they are off the flicker/strobe as the Canbus checks the system, but how long do they do it when the car is switched off?

    Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I can do the job in one go, cheers

    Yes, you will need to keep your motors, easy to do!

    Don't know how to link to the triple head led's, but you will need a load resistor to stop the error message, they will strobe regardless of this being fitted when switched off.

    Easier to do out of the car.

    Indicators are the same. :-)

    You can always do what i did and it stopped strobbing and the error.

    Wire the leds up so they come on with the ignition and add the bulb holders for normal bulbs to the main head light wires.

    Going to wire mine up to the dash illumination circuit, same as the led's in my fogs.

    Cheers guys, much appreciated

    The re-wiring is a bit OTT for my electronic skills, but will get these LED's ready Presume those linked won't trigger the on board errors?

    Yip they do you need the resistors to stop the error i did add them but the strobbing did my head in as they strobe when your driving unless to turn your side lights on when you drive.

    wiring it up the way i did it was easer than fitting the new leds lol
