    Default hid issues

    Hi all, fitted hids today to my 2004 GSI,every thing was fine ,fitted sweet,turned them on no worries,took car for a spin and at the end of my road the drivers side went out,tookit home,drivers side hid not on but parking light is, kit cam with inline cancelers .left car after an hour came back ,tried light ,drivers side flickers them goes out ,fuses all fine, you tell me

    Sounds like the cancellors arent doing their job, get some one to emable xenons setting via tech 2 or equivilant its a 2 minit job, that should solve it.

    I'd check the connections of the spades first, there not usually the best fitting, tape mine and bent them a little...

    You can get the odd miss fire when starting from cold but they shouldn't go off once driving, def something loose...

    got email from TURBOREVS ,they said swap ballast resistors around.

    saying that i had to cable tie one of my ballast connectors because the clip was slightly different and would stay in mabe try that too, had that problem with them going out. i just remember that.

    swapped ballasts over this morning,appears one is knackered,but one question to anyone,can u inter change HID components from different makers?

    Sounds like prime symptoms for ballast failure

    depending on how much you use car. New ballast can be had from eBay for 10 quid.

    if you want their an then/ next day job expect to pay at least 35 quid
