Vectra Glove Compartment bulb?

The light in the glove compartment of my vectra has stopped working. I have taken the bulb out but it looks fine. Is there a fuse for the glove compartment. I want to check this first before I go and buy a new bulb.

Check the connector hasn't dropped off the back. It had on mine.

Take the glovebox out - 4 screws I think - and then lift out.

The light just unclips from the top of the glove compartment - slide it forward and it'll come out. Then see if the connector has come off. You need to remove the light when you remove the glove box (three screws on top, edge, two on bottom edge).

I have taken the bulb out but it looks fine.

Not a conclusive test then.

It may look fine, but chances are it's not. Either connect up to a separate 12v power supply or check for continuity across the filament with a multimeter.
