i make the gap for the DRL in the fog surround 110mm (Length) 20mm (High) 30mm (depth) thats what i measured it to anyway i am going to use the slot the it in the middle of the foglight so i have found these on ebay Item Number (310258434741) anyone used them as i think i may order a set unless anyone else has any better offers ?
On my old facelift i got spare side light holder from old head lights and rigged them up so they come on with the ignition and tucked the main side light plugs away with normal bulbs in them so got no error codes did the same with my gsi.
so it just looked like you had your sidelights on all the time then ?
You could do the above like Mark and also just put sidelights in the fogs too... There's a thread of what I did flying about somewhere.
ye i get what you mean
Mine, wired from fuse F10 under the bonnet (afl's, which i don't have, ignition controlled) flexable led strips from fleabay, cut to fit. Got them a while ago so can't remember the item number!

i like this idea mate are they astra alloys on your car ? so you can just wire them to the fuse spare and the come on when the car is unlocked or when you turn the ignition on ?
Yeah, 18" Pentas from Astra SRI. Cracked one last weekend, £65 to get fixed! The left side of the fuse holder becomes live when the key is in position 2, so they aren't on when you are sitting with the key in position 1, listening to the radio for an hour waiting on the wife. I just broke into that wire and stuck an inline fuse on. Much easier than trying to find the switched live for the cigarette lighter etc.
