    Default drain coolant without taking bumper off

    want to change the stat and change the coolant, is there an easy way to drain it without taking the bumper off. its a 2.2 dti 04 plate, can i get my hand in to the drain tap, if there is one

    Yer mate you dont need to take the front bumper off,the drain is bottom left as you look at the car,get hold of some clear tubing and stick it on the outlet and lead into a bowl or something or just let it run out into a drain nearby

    so just reach my hand in past the rad on the drivers side, is it a tap, screw??? any pics anyone, ive googled like mad but cant find it

    Yer there's a tap there mate,if like mine its seized, spray some dub dee on it and leave it a while then attack with pliers,its right at the bottom left looking at it from the front have a feel under there ,you'll find it.

    IIRC, you have to pull it as you undo it. The drain plug won't come right out, btw.

    hmm, the dti is packed under there, i may have to take out the lower grill to get my hand in there, intercooler and aircon pipes all in the way, or go for the dreaded bumper removal

    If you can't get the tap to undo (don't force it, it's only plastic!), then just undo the bottom radiator hose. Stick a washing up bowl underneath as a the coolant will tend to come out and run off several things rather than a nice single stream.
