Question Heater Blower Motor suddenly stopped

Hi there, I have a 1.9 CDti 150 estate which all in all is fine for its age (55 plate; 110,000 miles)

I just noticed today that the heater motor is not running. I checked the obvious; fuse is OK and I measure 12 V on one side of the fuse holder when fuse out. It does not work on any speed and the de-mister button also does not work; usualy sends fan into some high speed mode.

Any quick diagnostic tips, experiences would be most welcomed. Its ****** typical such a thing would fail when it is -2 C outside now. Lol.....

scuttle drain blocked?? if so it's likely that water has killed the resistor pack, not really a big job... heater blower & resistor is all behind the glove box

Hey chaps all sorted for now and only cost me a pollen filter. When I looked at that scuttle tray part, drain was blocked and a good half pint of water; and that was after being stood for some hours. Unblocked drain, cleaned tray and replaced filter. I reached in and turned blower motor; slight resistance but then OK. On trying blower again all worked fine on all speeds. I tried to lube the top bearing insitu but not really easy to do. The motor seems to have a very slight resistance but im not sure what is normal. It runs fine now so I presume the resistance is not a problem. One thing I cant quite uderstand is that the blower was obviously temporarily siezed by crap of some sort yet it did not blwo that 15 A fuse?? Maybe its the wrong value??
